According to the Paragraph 4 of Article 33 of the University Act, the National Taipei University (NTPU) establishes a student appeal system to handle cases of appeals made by any student (or by the student association, or by any other student self-governing organization) against its university disciplinary action, administrative action, or some other university measure or decision, to ensure that the rights and interests of students are protected.
The University provides students with some instructions on its website. Here is a summary:
1) You must be a student of the University when it happens.
2) There is a disciplinary action, administrative action, or some other measure or decision made by the University.
Those appeals due to campus sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual bullying, or campus bullying incidents is not handled by the Student Appeal Review Committee. It shall instead be handled in accordance with the university’s gender-related incident mechanism (see the guildlines offered by the Gender Equality Education Committee) and bullying incident mechanism.
3) The above measure/decision violates your rights or interests.
4)You should file an appeal in the form prescribed by the Office of Student Affairs, documenting all things required.
If you need help, please feel free to contact the Student Union.
